The heart of the Causeway Coast Vineyard has always been to ‘change our community, one life at a time’. In April 2010 we purchased 7 acres of land, close to the centre of Coleraine.

The opportunity to develop a facility that will enable us to achieve this dream is available to us but we will have to reach for it. We believe at this stage in the life of our church God is calling us to reach for the future together.

On Your Marks, Get Set . . . .

The blog is back!
After a little delay the building project is moving into the building stage!
Because of some changes to the design we had to re-aply for planning. While this was a little frustrating, it did allow us to improve the design and reduce the build costs. Planning (part 2) was granted on 23rd November 2011.
The final design was put out to tender and we received tenders from 8 different building companies and are now in the final stages of negotiations with the firm which submitted the most competitive tender.
In the meantime we have been meeting with building control to ensure they are happy with the plans.
There are going to plenty of photos and posts on this blog as the project unfolds so join us on the final stage of our journey to our new church building.

Planning Permission Granted!!!

On Tuesday 8th March 2011, Coleraine Borough Council granted us the necessary planning permission to build our proposed church facility. In the last few months, planning policy had changed significantly which made it extremely difficult (almost impossible) to get a 'change of use' for existing industrial land, which is what we have.

We thank God for making this possible! To get planning permission on our first application is incredible news, especially with the change in planning policy. Huge thanks also goes to our dedicated team of trustees who have worked incredibly hard on this!

Next steps are to finalise our plans, raise the remaining funds for the build... then get started!!!

Please do continue to pray for God's provision of funds for the build, and wisdom as we finalise our plans and make any last changes before the build. The 'Reaching for the Future Together' dream is definitely within reach...

Planning Update

Hey guys

Just a quick update to say please PRAY HARD for our Planning Application over the next few weeks!

We've just submitted the Environmental Report and Flood Risk Assessment which the Planning Service had asked us to complete. We have also handed in a large number of letters of support from various sections of the community who are in support of our plans. The Planning Service are now in a position to review our case and make a decision, so please do pray that they grant us the necessary approvals, and particularly for the Senior Planner that we find favour with him.

I'll keep you up to date when more news comes in!

Prayer Gathering on new site!

A few pictures of a Prayer Gathering that we held 'ON SITE' in one of the warehouses that we hope to convert into our new church facility.
Andy Rogers led a bit of worship and along with Andy Spence led the gathering in prayer.
The group also got a chance to prayer walk around the massive 7 acre site.

Project Update

Hey guys, just wanting to bring you up to date with what's happening at the minute with the new build.

We have applied to the planners for a 'change of use' for the site and are currently pulling in letters of support from various groups around the community to aid our case. Do pray all goes well and we're given the green light to start!

Here is a site plan to give you an idea of the potential we have to impact the local community through the space God has given us.

Let's continue to 'Reach for the Future Together'!

What does 7 acres look like?
